syncreon Windsor raises over $5,000 for local charity “Fight Like Mason”

A team of 23 employees from syncreon’s Windsor location fundraised for the seventh annual Windsor Corporate Challenge that took place on June 16th, 2018. Of them, 20 individuals from syncreon Windsor formed the team that competed on the day of the event. Christina McFadden, Meghan Pinch and Mackenzie Noble took charge to organize and captain the team.

The Corporate Challenge seeks to promote wellness, balance and team building among coworkers. The challenges, both cognitive and physical in nature and ranging from escape rooms to rock climbing, encourage participants to work together. Communication and collaboration are key to determining which members of the team will excel at which challenges. The aim is that teams will carry this improved communication and camaraderie back to their workplace long after challenge day is over.

Even more important is the Corporate Challenge’s goal of raising awareness and funds for a local charity. Each year a new charity is chosen, and all proceeds from the day’s fundraising are donated.

This year, the Corporate Challenge was dedicated to the Fight Like Mason Foundation. This non-profit was formed in honor of Mason Bacon-Macri, who was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a form of childhood cancer, in May 2015 at the age of 2 years old. Fight Like Mason’s mission is to improve treatment, care, quality of life and awareness of patients diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma and other childhood cancers.

At the end of a fun-filled day, syncreon Windsor’s team raised and donated $5,065 to the Fight Like Mason Foundation! syncreon is committed to giving back to our communities, and we are honored to have been a part of this experience. It was a great day for an even greater cause!
