syncreon achieves first Life Sciences Ireland Good Distribution Transport Passport Certification

mai 2012  –  Auburn Hills, MI, USA

syncreon is the first professional logistics companies to be awarded the IEA Life Sciences Ireland Good Distribution Transport Practice (GDTP) Passport certification status. The certification award was presented yesterday by John Whelan, CEO of the Irish Exporters Association to Pat Burke, Managing Director of syncreon at their Dublin Airport premises.

Pat Burke, Managing Director of syncreon  speaking at the awarding ceremony said;

“syncreon is a global logistics solutions company. I am delighted that the company has being awarded the Life Sciences Ireland GDTP Passport certification by the Irish Exporters Association  as it demonstrates syncreon’s  strong commitment to the largest and rapidly growing pharmaceutical and medical devices sectors of Irish industry and positions us to support the Life Science industries across Europe.”

 John Whelan, Chief Executive of the IEA  stated;

"The Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industry operates in a highly regulated environment. In recent times there has been an increase in counterfeit products entering the supply chain and requirements for temperature controlled new medicinal compounds. It has been reported that up to 50% of new drugs entering the market have specific temperature control limits. Consequently, further specific requirements in managing the international supply chain for the life sciences industry has arisen. The GDTP system is the industry standard for  the transport of Life Sciences products.  Hence it is critical to the industry to see companies such as syncreon making the investment in the GDP Passport system."

Being the first company to achieve Good Distribution Practice Transport Passport certification is a very important achievement for syncreon and positions us to support the Life Science industries based in Ireland across Europe. Our transport business has key control towers in Ireland, Holland and Poland which plan and control our fleets.
