
New customer Clarion has selected syncreon technology to provide value-added inbound logistics services for high-tech electronic components.
Operations, which began ramping up in December 2007, are housed in a new stand alone facility in Hebron, Kentucky, about 10 miles from Clarion’s facility in Walton, KY.
“This award is very important to syncreon as it constitutes our first operation in the US which is technology focussed,” stated Michael Neumann, Executive Vice President Business Development. “We plan to expand our growing technology business within North America in the near term and we are very proud to be able to begin this expansion with Clarion”.
The scope of this contract includes receiving and deconsolidation of sea containers, sub-assembly, and full pre-delivery inspection / testing of navigation and audio components. Modules are then re-packed into returnable containers and delivered to various Tier one and OEM destinations at multiple locations.
