syncreon achieves first Life Sciences Ireland Good Distribution Transport Passport Certification

syncreon is the first professional logistics companies to be awarded the IEA Life Sciences Ireland Good Distribution Transport Practice (GDTP) Passport certification status. The certification award was presented yesterday by John Whelan, CEO of the Irish Exporters Association to Pat Burke, Managing Director of syncreon at their Dublin Airport premises.

 John Whelan, Chief Executive of the IEA  stated;

In recent times there has been an increase in counterfeit products entering the supply chain and requirements for temperature controlled new medicinal compounds. It has been reported that up to 50% of new drugs entering the market have specific temperature control limits. Consequently, further specific requirements in managing the international supply chain for the life sciences industry has arisen. The GDTP system is the industry standard for  the transport of Life Sciences products.  Hence it is critical to the industry to see companies such as syncreon making the investment in the GDP Passport system."
