syncreon to export BMW extended wheel-base 5 Series to China
syncreon automotive will extend the scope of work it currently provides to BMW by adding export packing (CKD) of the extended wheel-base 5 series to China.
The start of this new business is scheduled, following summer shut-down, for September 2008. Full production will ramp up by beginning of 2009.
The additional scope of this business includes receiving, storage, and export packing of the [extended wheel-base] 5 Series from Regensburg to Shenyang. The volume is anticipated to reach approximately 30,000 vehicles exported annually.
syncreon currently provides the body metal parts for the 5 Series as well as complete packing of the 3 Series to China and the local container yard management.
