In January 2007 syncreon was formed when Walsh Western International and TDS logistics Inc., both market leaders in their respective specialty areas of global supply chain management, joined forces to establish a new company.

TDS logistics had been a global provider of complex supply chain solutions, primarily to the automotive industry, with a proven track record going back over 65 years. TDS logistics, Inc. was founded in 1986, and was headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan (USA). TDS, one of the world's leading suppliers of value-added material handling logistics solutions to the automotive industry, had become a preferred service provider for many major automotive OEMs including Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, and Volkswagen.
